i've had a fantastic time hanging out in ventura. enjoying the company of good country people... i wrote songs, a movie, read a book, went to three movies, napped, ran, ate, drank, listened to astral weeks on repeat, bought a night at the opera for my ipod, and pants that i like. i am going to disneyland today to cap off the fun.

yesterday, i was thankful for the memories. today i'm thankful for pumping iron. i'm going to begin a workout regiment today.

man, casino royal is a rad movie. i saw it last night. subsequently, i tried to gain my double zero status by killing two bums.

you can be taken back by a death for any number of reasons. i remember when i was visiting missouri as a kid. mickey mantle and jerry garcia died in the same week. i appreciate robert altaman in the same distant sense.

i saw the who last night on some random free tickets. i wasn't really expecting much, but they really ruled the roost. fun fun show! their encore was all of tommy. pretty fun.

robyn slipped on a rib and broke her foot this morning. she's fine, just in a heap of pain. i've parent conferences and grades the next week or so. all of this busy busy makes me glad for albums like nebraska.
