here's something controversial, i think. i'm really tired and bored with the following bands that everyone craps their pants over: pavement, pavement, pavement, and pavement. i'm sick of pavement, of malkmus' boring drone apathy drenched vocals, of the uninspired rhythym section, the monotonous guitar licks that go knowhere. pavement = the grungies diaper clad crap baby little girl diaper poops. i don't understand why people like them at all. maybe it's because mojo, spin, and stereogum told them it was a good thing to do ten years after they finished sucking.

see, there you go little guy! you're all fired up! and you know what? it makes for good reading. now say something like, "i don't understand why people think hemingway is so great. i mean, he just writes simple, declarative sentences. and he's depressing. shit, i can get drunk and write declarative sentences all day long." that will be funny.
(p.s. i like pavement for their lyrics. and the catchy parts in their songs. a band that people like that i don't like so much: mudhoney.)

yeah, i own like a million of their albums and they still suck and always have.
now that one makes sense. why do you own a million albums by a band that you hate?
