a million times eleven

last night i watched elevator to the gallows. it was very nice for my soul. after juno, it was good to watch a movie that didn't know it was trying to be a movie.

i guess louis malle was listening to miles davis during the making of the film (his first, he was 24). miles davis, for whatever reason, was in paris. allegedly, he came by the sound stage and, over champagne (and, i suppose, heroin), recorded a score in one evening from scratch. if you want to be cool, you ought to watch it. if you don't want to be cool, you should exist in stupid zone forever.

quick question: out of the people i know and you know, who will be the next to have a childrens?

my votes: billy, the pools, and the harbaughs. in opposite order. and maybe tyson.

I saw "Au revoir, les enfants" at LACMA once. I guess it was made 40 years after that other film. It was pretty good.

the most awesomest thing about Malle?
"He planned to direct a political satire "Moon Over Miami," starring Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. The film was canceled due to Belushi's death in 1982."

would have been biz-itchin. or not.

interesting, but i've rendered robyn dry with the use of a microwave and a magic wand while she was sleeping the other day, so we're set with one.

and that movie sounds cool. maybe.
