Good Morning Summer Vacation!

So, summer is here. At this point the things I write on this blog are really only for me and posterity. I am writing this from the table in my garage. My garage has really turned into a nice little office. I've my musical things, records, even some workout stuff. It's nice and cool and way better than anything I might pay for. When the kids go down, I roll out to work.

Jack is sleeping in our room tonight. Simon is sleeping in his crib for the first time. Should be fun. We really aren't going anywhere this summer. Robyn will be working more, though (which means I will become Mr. Mom). This is fine and good, but I know it will prove to be tiring.

Other things: sat in Dugout Club seats with the Sycz's. Amazing good amazing. Saw Buffalo Springfield with my dad. Sublime. Boss. Ended the school year with something of a bang. Thought about losing weight. Will think more about it tomorrow.

Reading: Nothing really. I should probably pick something up.
Watching: Just finished Generation Kill. Sort of starting Sons of Anarchy. I'll probably plow through. I like it enough so far.
Listening: Mostly podcasts.

I also got a rad Timex watch for Father's Day. Robyn is da' bomb. And I ordered some new Locals from Maui. Mine were worn right through.

Time to write about baseball. And record a podcast.

Father's Day

It is Father's Day. It has been some time since I wrote at the Woolly. I feel that, for posterity at the very least, I must keep on writing things here. Today was a good day. For Father's Day, I kind of wanted to just go in the garage and write all day. I wanted some quiet and solitude. Instead, I got lots of kid time, which was better and more fun.

Jack, Simon, and Robyn woke me up. Jack brought be a bottle of beer and a watch. The watch was/ is a sweet Timex. I feel like an adult now. It needs a battery, but I've worn it all day despite this deficiency.

Robyn made breakfast. This is something of a rarity, but it was delicious. Sausage biscuits and cheese. She just started drinking (and making) coffee. I felt spoiled. It was nice.

Robyn wanted to clean, so I took Jack and Simon for a walk around the lake. Jack ran some. He also picked up dirt along the way. It was fun. We stopped at the park. He slid. Then we made our way back.

Then Jack and I went to Travel Town. We watched people play with trains. We then rode the train. After, we went to Jamba Juice. Everything was good.

When we got home, Jack went down for a nap and I got my garage time. I got that bit of garage writerly solitude in. I also drank the beer. It was fun. When Jack woke up I took him and Simon to the store. We got steak and charcoal. I then cooked the steak with some vegetables. I just finished watching an episode of Generation Kill. Now everyone is asleep and I have some stuff to do. It was a fun Father's Day.

Colorado Springs, Colorado

We've spent the last couple days hanging around Colorado Springs. We are staying at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. It is really nice. We got a sweet deal off Priceline. We will be heading back to Fort Collins soon.

Jack was a little sick last night, so we didn't get up as early as we wanted. We still had fun though, hitting up some old spots we used to hit when we would come as kids.

So far, the trip has been really nice. We watched the Rockies dismantle the Dodgers and I got a tour of the stadium brewery. Overall, it's been a very nice trip. Jack is playing with a train, Simon is on his mat, and Back to the Future is on the television.

Spring Break

It is Monday. I am on Spring Break. I just went for a jog. It was a slow jog. I am wildly out of shape. Simon is in his vibrating chair. I think he is over it. We will be going to the park in a bit. Jack is playing with trains. We leave for Colorado tomorrow. school is going well. Other things are going well. This is all.

This is how our family looks now. Simon is rad. He was born 2.5.2011. Last night was our first night home. He slept really well. We'll enjoy it while we can.

Nice Christmas

We had a nice Christmas. Jack had fun opening things. He gets it and it is fun. I got some cool things. My aunt made a donation to a wheelchair charity in our name(s), which was/ is rad. I also got a mug from Philippe's, a Flying Burrito Brothers shirt, a hat, a sweater, Davey Crockett movies, a Satchel Paige book, and some gift cards. We had good food and chilled out and it was fun. We also went to Santa Barbara and I got a growler of Imperial Red something or other from Hollister that I may crack open Wednesday with some chicken noodle soup. I've some more time off, then more time on. I also just finished watching Exit Through the GiftShoppe. It was really enjoyable and I think I like it as my number one movie this year. Second place: 127 hours. Third place: Toy Story part Tre. These lists are only for posterity.

Tis the Season, Yo!

We've had a fun start to the Christmas time season of fun. School let out Friday. Jack had a fun birthday on Saturday. He got more trains and a train table. He loves them all so much. Yesterday we had fun at the Smithmas Party. Tonight my friend is shooting season one of his TV show in my garage. Tomorrow we will see the Randy Newman musical Harps and Angels. Then we will begin Christmasing.

Yo. In December We Do It Like This.

We got a tree and stuff. It is cool. Teaching is giving me a backache. I saw some of my friends at Andy's house. It was fun. I took Jack to Disneyland after school because Robyn had the flu. It was so rad. We went on many rides and I got second highest score on Buzz Lightyear for anyone for the day. I got over a million five-hundred thousand. I was so excited and happy. Then I took Jack on the Matterhorn. He is weirdly tall for a two year old child (for one week at least). I think this freaked Robyn out, but it was boss. He's 45 inchez so he's also big enough for Space Mountain. We will go on this on Sunday when we go for Christmas. Some other stuff is happening but my back hurts.

Jack is eating Jell-o. Now he is eating grapes. Robyn is talking on the phone. She is on modified bed rest. We are watching Wall-e. Robyn is reading a Harry Potter book again. I just had a week off. Now I have to make my lunch for tomorrow. I'm uploading a bunch of CDs I forgot I had. Several Jimmy Buffett albums are making me excited. I'm going to chill-ville. I'm working on a horror movie with J. Forbes. It is almost finished (again). School is a little batty, but the kids are cool. I get another two weeks off in three weeks, so I can't complain too much (even though I try and find reason to on many an occasion).

I am reading Watchmen. I am watching some Ken Burns things on Netflix W.I. I'm also reading Frankenstein. I don't have too much else. Andy has scheduled a hang out weekend next weekend. A friend of mine will start production on his new TV show in my garage in a couple weeks. We will have another baby soon. Happy Thanksgiving.

November Post

It has been a while since I've written something here. Robyn is pregnant. We were in the hospital for a few days. A little pregnancy hiccup, but all is seemingly welly (except for the bed rest). I'm also knee deep in school and writing. More like hip deep. We also had people come out and cut some trees down. And Jack likes trains.

Good Times (Almost Over) reprise squared.

We leave the day after tomorrow. My days are filled with all the things that they have been filled with every day since the beginning (except we are surfing now that Anne and Trevor are here). My nights are filled with dominoes, the occasional pcog, good food, and Magnum. We're watching the series finale right now. It is suspenseful and fun, filled with wit and grit.

I have also been watching videos of Norm Macdonald being really funny. I keep Robyn up with my bed shaking laughs.



We've also watched Donovan's Reef, Blue Hawaii, and South Pacific.

Four Full Days Left

Got to make the most of the last few days of the trip. It's been fun, if not a little more mellow. Mellow is good though. Mellow is nice. We've snorkeled. We've eaten raw things. We've gotten somewhat back in shape. Nothing too extreme. Just nice relaxing awesome hang out.

Now I'm going to leave the internet.

Hawaii.

Hawaii has been good. It always is. Uncle D is coming in today. We've been doing the usual. Wake. Write some horror. Swim. Go to the pool. The beach. Read some. Drink some Maui Brewing Company taste-tastic Big Swell IPA. Come back for an Insanity! workout. Get tired. Eat some lunch. Go swim in the ocean. Put Jack down for a nap. Read some more. Write some more. Go in the ocean again. Get Jack up. Go in the ocean. Go in the pool. Make some dinner at the barbecue. Drink Pcog. Watch Blue Hawaii. Play dominoes. Watch South Park. Go to sleep. Repeat in the morning.

I also ate a delicious hobo plate today. It was basically like loco moco, but with Portuguese sausage instead of a hamburger patty.

I've also eaten some good awesome poke.

And I got a new gecko wallet. It is black. I am branching out.

No complaints.

Summer in the City

It is summer. We keep our blinds shut to hide the hot hot heat. Jack is eating breakfast; I am drinking iced coffee left over from yesterday.

I went to DC. It was fun. M. Beth and I reveled about the monuments. I will not go into details, but there may or may not be pictures (I will lean toward not... for personal and professional reasons).

Heading up to Ventura today for Jack's weekly swim lesson. We went to Disneyland on Sunday. It was fun, but I was tired.

I also had a fun b-dai party. Good to see old friends J. Pickle and Trace Chutkins. Good guys. Good country people. We also had some delicious brew: Supplication, Chimay, Beer Breakfast, Damnation... yum squared it twas. Yum squared. And boss cupcakes made by K. Siech.

Yum. Fun. Bomb. It. Magik.

Time to write some horror.

All-Star!

I am watching the All-Star game. I almost went, but then I didn't. I had fun in Washington D.C. Matt B came down and hung out. It was epic squared. Now I'm watching the game with Poppo and my mom. Jack is hanging out with my dad. I think they are on a walk. We're having a belated b-day on Saturday. We will eat hot dogs wrapped in bacon. There will be a topping bar. I may get pastrami from Langer's and make my own Polish-pastrami Swiss cheese dawg. Then I will drink bottles of Damnation for fun!

it's my burfday.

Tuesday. 11:27. I never thought I'd make it to thirty. Many people don't. Pour one out bra.

I'm going to take Jack to the train and to the horses. In a few. Maybe in half and h. I will be eating some sweet pastrami sandwichies with my fam this evening too. And I leave for DC this week. I may go see Strasburg pitch seven no-hitters or I may go hang with Bethancourt and maybe get adventurous and groove up to Philly and see E and M Dawgsessions.

I will also probably right now take a shower.
